YouthLink Scotland is looking to appoint a Youth Work and Schools Development Officer. This post will support the delivery of a national capacity-building initiative to strengthen collaboration between youth work and schools, as part of the Scottish Attainment Challenge. The post is supported by the Scottish Government and the post holder will work closely with key stakeholders in Education Scotland, schools and youth work organisations.

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about improving educational outcomes for young people and who can contribute to building understanding of youth work’s contribution to the Scottish Attainment Challenge. They will work with colleagues from education and youth work to support the gathering and use of evidence and contribute to the development of effective collaborations. The candidate should have experience of working in an educational setting and be able to conduct evaluation studies, analyse data and communicate findings to different audiences.

This is a fixed term post ending 31 December 2021. The salary is £28,136 - £34,044. The company offers a 9.5% non-contributory pension scheme. The post will be based at the YouthLink Scotland offices in Edinburgh. The normal working week is 35 hours. By its nature, the post will sometimes require work to be undertaken during evenings and weekends.  Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days plus 12 public holidays.
