Scottish Huntington’s Association (SHA) is Scotland’s only dedicated national charity providing support to families impacted by Huntington’s disease (HD); by offering a range of services including HD specialist services, youth services, financial wellbeing services and peer support.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the SHA Youth Project (SHAYP); an internationally renowned youth service, which provides support to young people growing up in families impacted by HD and living at genetic risk of developing the condition.

SHA are looking to recruit a Youth Service Co-ordinator to work alongside the established team of Specialist Youth Advisors, helping to organise, facilitate and support structured group work sessions, activity days, residentials and camps for young people aged 8-25 throughout Scotland, whilst also providing administrative support to the service.

This post will be based in Glasgow; however will require regular travel throughout Scotland. There will also be evening, weekend and residential work throughout the year.

A clean, current driving licence is essential.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme check.

The post is funded by Big Lottery Fund until May 2019, with continuation funding being applied for.
