The Youth Heritage Officer will play a key role in delivering the Rebel Roots project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, led by Fast Forward and the lead partner, the National Library of Scotland.
The post holder will be responsible for an exciting youth-led project that will engage with young people (14 to 25 year olds) in an exploration of the heritage of youth subcultures, fashion and music in Edinburgh North and East since the 1960’s. They will engage with local organisations and communities to learn about, record, interpret, and share different aspects of past youth subcultures.
The role includes working with directly with the young volunteers, partners and a range of stakeholders, arranging and facilitating project activities and visits, as well as administrative and reporting tasks.
