YouthLink Scotland is recruiting a Senior Development Officer to develop youth social action and youth volunteering in the youth work sector and co-ordinate the #IWill movement in Scotland.

To drive forward the #IWill movement in Scotland, this role will involve collaboration with young people, key strategic partners in a range of sectors and funders, across Scotland and the rest of the UK. The post holder will utilise social media to communicate the aims and achievements of the movement.

The post holder will project manage YouthLink Scotland’s work within the #YouthVIP Consortium, delivering recommendations contributing to Volunteering policy and infrastructure.

This post would suit a self-driven, natural collaborator with excellent project management and organisation skills and the ability to deliver national projects involving multiple partners and stakeholders. The candidate will be great at building effective relationships with young people, our YouthLink Scotland member organisations and external stakeholders.

We are seeking someone who has previous experience of delivering youth work/ youth participation. The candidate should have an understanding of the value of youth social action, the role that youth work has in supporting young people to take action and volunteer and knowledge of the voluntary sector in Scotland. They should be an excellent communicator, with strong partnership skills and have experience of using creative approaches to engage with and influence diverse audiences.

A Qualification to SCQF LEVEL10 or have relevant skills and experience in a relevant discipline e.g. Social Sciences, Youth Work, Community Learning and Development.
