RNIB is pleased to announce this exciting opportunity to join the Education and Family Services team in Glasgow as a Paediatric Early Intervention Officer (fixed-term contract until 31 July 2018).

In this role, you will support children and young people aged 0 - 18 years with sight loss and their families providing emotional support, information and advice. You will identify needs, devise and deliver a personal outcome plan enabling the child/young person with sight loss as well as their families and put in place appropriate referrals to other services. You will be part of the Identify, React, Intervene with Sustained Support (IRISS) team and help organise and run events for children, young people and their families.

You will have a qualification in health, education, social care or equivalent and experience of delivering services to children, young people and families. You will also have good communication and organisation skills, together with being a proficient user of databases and Microsoft Office packages.
