Supporting Collaboration on the Ground

YouthLink Scotland's Youth Work and Schools Partnerships team are currently offering practical support with new approaches to collaborative work, focused on closing the attainment gap.  For example:

  • With the support of the South East Improvement Collaborative, we are co-ordinating a practitioner enquiry with youth workers (CLD and third sector) and formal educators from schools in East Lothian, Edinburgh, Fife and Midlothian to develop new strategies, frameworks and resources to enable more effective planning and evaluation of youth work in partnership with schools across the SEIC region. You can find the programme outline here.
  • We have been collaborating with CLD and third sector youth work services in Edinburgh to develop a clear youth work 'offer' to schools to support education recovery and renewal - more here.
  • We are also working with the Attainment Advisor in Highland to support collaboration between youth work and schools, including approaches to joint planning and evaluation.

If you would like support to develop collaborative approaches to closing the attainment gap in your area, please contact Marielle Bruce or  Gill Gracie
