COP26 Scottish Youth Climate Project

The 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) is a fantastic opportunity for the youth work sector to engage Scotland's young people in the climate emergency discussion. Our work leading up to this event includes the Our Bright Future Project, as well as our partnership with Young Scot on Scotland's Young People's Forest.

The Scottish Youth Climate Project is a partnership project between YouthLink Scotland, Young Scot and Keep Scotland Beautiful in the lead up to and beyond the historic summit, to develop a confident and equipped climate literate youth work workforce.

This Youth Work Champion’s online platform has been created to inspire and motivate youth workers and the wider sector through sharing case studies and best practice of the vital role youth workers play in supporting young people as climate champions.

If you have a story of positive youth led climate action in your own community to share that might be inspiring for other youth workers to hear and learn from, please contact COP26 - Development Officer Project Coordinator Naomi Dixon at

We're currently gathering case studies to demonstrate the impact youth workers are having in supporting young people to take social action against the climate emergency and help Scotland to reach net zero. Tell us about your project here to be included as a case study!
