Youth workers supporting young people facing racism and anti semitism - Mapping exercise
We have been asked to develop and support a network for youth workers supporting young people facing racism and antisemitism in Scotland.
Following a consultation meeting with representatives of youth work organisations actively engaged in this work it was proposed that a mapping exercise should take place to identify existing youth groups and networks providing targeted support to young people facing racism and antisemitism.
The aim of this mapping exercise is to:
- Get a fuller picture of who is currently providing targeted support to young people facing racism and antisemitism and what services they offer.
- Better understand any support needs these organisations/networks might have.
- And ensure the proposed YouthLink Scotland network meets any identified support needs and does not duplicate or in any way impede work already taking place.
