Scottish Government guidance for delivery of youth work services updated
The guiding framework to support the delivery of youth work services has been updated to reflect the latest Scottish Government advice.
The updated guidance reflects the Scottish Government's introduction of Covid-19 Local Protection Levels, which came into effect as of Monday 2 November.
Under levels 0 to 3, youth work can continue up to a maximum of 30 individuals (including youth workers) indoors and outdoors, with a maximum of 20 at level 4. Face-to-face delivery in levels 3 and 4 should be targeted at those who need it most.
The new guidelines recommend that digital and other remote forms of delivery should continue where possible and appropriate across all protection levels.
The general approach should be to minimise the size of groups where possible as part of blended approaches to delivery.
Please also be aware that official guidance for the Community Learning and Development sector has also been updated to help local authorities and third sector partners working in Scotland’s schools, colleges and communities deliver services safely.
