COVID-19 Residential Outdoor Education Centre Support Fund
Scottish Government has announced a £2 million recovery fund to support the sustainability of residential outdoor centres in Scotland. The fund is open to third and private sector centres that routinely provided curricular relevant, residential outdoor learning opportunities for young people (aged 3-18) before March 2020, and that can demonstrate a negative financial impact as a result of a loss of residential activity since the emergence of the current pandemic.
The fund, administered by YouthLink Scotland, will have two separate rounds.
Round one will open for applications on the 23 November 2020 and close on 11 December 2020. Providers are invited to apply to round one for support with non-staff monthly running costs.
Full fund guidance for round one and link to the online application form will be available on the YouthLink Scotland website on 23 November 2020.
Round two will open for applications on 11 January 2021 and close on 5 February 2021. Providers are invited to apply, in partnership with nurseries, schools or colleges, to round two in support of delivery of outdoor learning opportunities for young people.
Full fund guidance for round two and link to the online application form will be available on the YouthLink Scotland website on 11 January 2021.
