STEM Professional Learning Practitioner Survey 2019 for Community Learning and Development Practitioners
Education Scotland and the Scottish Government are inviting CLD practitioners to help them to shape the future of STEM professional learning by completing their Annual STEM Professional Learning Practitioner Survey for 2019.
'STEM' may not be a term that you regularly use to describe your work but many CLD practitioners offer opportunities for learners of all ages and backgrounds to develop their confidence and skills in sciences, technologies, engineering or mathematics and numeracy in less formal settings. That’s why the National STEM Education and Training Strategy (2017-2022) includes aims to increase STEM-focused professional learning for the CLD sector.
Education Scotland has provided almost £2 million in grant funding this financial year to enhance the professional learning offer in sciences, technologies, engineering and also in mathematics and numeracy. CLD providers have accessed some of that funding but they know that there is more to do to support the CLD sector.
Your response to this survey will play a crucial role in shaping what that support looks like. It will also help to track increases and improvements in the provision of CLD practitioners over the lifetime of the STEM Strategy. The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete.
The closing date is Monday 16 December 2019.
