National Youth Work Awards 2018

YouthLink Scotland is delighted to announce that nominations for the National Youth Work Awards 2018 are now open!

National Youth Work Awards 2018

The National Youth Work Awards will celebrate youth work and the youth workers who make a difference in the lives of young people every year. Young people are co-designing the event with our staff, member organisations and event sponsors. This includes pre-event planning, selecting the finalists and contributing to the awards ceremony.

Following recommendations from our co-design group, there are two versions of the nomination form this year to encourage more submissions by young people. One is for practitioners to nominate and the other is for young people to use.

Download the Nomination Form for Practitioners and Adults.

Download the Nomination Form for Young People.

Please read the Guidance before completing the nomination form. It includes the criteria and eligibility for each category - the information in your Nomination Form must be clear, concise and demonstrate why your nominee should be a finalist.

When you're ready, email your nomination to, or send it by post to our Edinburgh office. Full details are included in the form.

Remember: nominations close at 5pm on Monday 15 January 2018.

Year of Young People 2018

The National Youth Work Awards will be one of the events that celebrate Scotland’s first-ever Year of Young People. This national event, co-designed with young people, ties into the key objectives of YOYP:

“Showcase the amazing talents of young people through events and media”

“Recognise the impact of teachers, youth workers and other supporting adults on young people’s lives”
