The UK insurance and long-term savings industry has launched the Covid-19 Support Fund to help support some of the people hardest hit by the Covid-19 crisis. The key aim is to provide immediate relief to charities affected by Covid-19, as well as a longer-term programme of support for people, communities, and issues where there is the greatest need.
The 2020 Booster Grants Programme will award small grants of up to £5,000 over a six month period to organisations working with children and young people, who have been impacted by COVID-19 so that they can change, adapt and develop current projects. This is an invite only fund for organisations that are currently funded by BBC Children in Need. This includes organisations that hold a Main, Small, Curiosity or Bridging Grant.
It's more important than ever that local youth forums are able to identify young people's needs and perspectives on the situation regarding COVID-19 within their communities, and act on them! That's why ALYVE UK is providing small grants to local youth forums across Scotland: to help facilitate them in understanding young people's experiences, views, and opinions in regards to the impact of COVID-19 through research or consultation and advocate on their behalf. Applications will be assessed on the first weekend of each month.
