Visit our Scotswummin exhibition this August

Come along and join us at Glasgow Women’s Library to discover Scotland’s forgotten and unrecognised women of influence. Over the last nine months, YouthLink Scotland has supported five youth groups to investigate women of influence in their communities. Our Heritage Lottery Funded project Scotswummin has seen young heritage researchers conduct research and unearth inspirational women including opera singers, horse riders, women in fashion and business, and many more. Their findings will be displayed at a free exhibition at Glasgow Women’s Library, which is open to the public from Saturday 5 August to Saturday 12 August.

As part of Scotswummin, we will also be sharing our new research findings on 'Youth Work’s Contribution to the Women’s Movement Since 1850'. Based on a historical review and original interviews with the youth work sector, this heritage report will be donated to Glasgow Women’s Library and will form part of the final exhibition. Copies will be available in print or to download via the Scotswummin website.

You can find out more about attending the exhibition on the Glasgow Women's Library website.
