NACWG launches Youth Circle Event

The National Advisory Council on Women & Girls (NACWG) is holding its first Youth Circle event on 26th of June from 4.30-8pm in Glasgow. Designed for young people aged 11-18 years old, NACWG have created the Youth Circle to ensure the voices and experiences of young people are heard and become central to the work of the NACWG. Using creative action and art activities the young people will respond to the Advisory Council’s 2019 focus of Policy Coherence – how is policy made and do policies work against each other...

The NACWG was formed as a catalyst for change to address gender inequality by providing an independent voice to the First Minister. The purpose is to drive action to encourage gender equality in Scotland and its vision is for Scotland to be recognised as a world leader for its comment and action towards realising an equal society, where all women and girls can reach their true potential. You can watch a video about the NACWG here.
