How YOU(th) can be a leader for change
During the summer of 2020, YouthLink Scotland created a series of Climate Action Policy Seminars for young people, youth work practitioners and other interested stakeholders to come together to share practice to help build an evidence base to create change on issues that matter to young people and the youth work sector.
We know from our extensive engagement with young people, youth work practitioners, and partners, particularly around the renewed National Youth Work Strategy (2020-25) that climate change is a priority area for action.
In June we were joined by On Our Wave Length and Marine Conservation Society, taking a deep dive on World Ocean’s Day into what a green/blue post Covid-19 recovery. As part of Plastic Free, Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) and #IWill Ambassadors highlighted actions to empower young people to take up environmental action at home.
Join us for the third in the climate action policy seminar series (on 12 August), as Rural Youth Project and young committee ambassadors show us how young people are having their voices heard on climate policy, advocacy and activism, how to make an impact, and how to create a grassroots movement!
