Lots & Not Lots

National Theatre of Scotland and music artist Greg Sinclair (UK) are joining forces to create an immersive, interactive, and inclusive event with young people in Fife that showcases new talent and shares wide ranging perspectives.

Exploring concepts of fullness and nothingness the work will veer between an intricate tapestry of layered voices and bodies to moments of fragile still silence. The performers will act as a unit with occasional improvised vocal outbursts and flashes of absurdity that will dispel the illusion of perfection and give glimpses of the personalities within the ensemble.

The workshops will take place on Thursday 23 & Friday 24 August from 4 to 8pm and Saturday 25 August from 10am to 6pm at Rothes Hall and will involve:

  • Games
  • Learning and singing some songs
  • Working with patterns on paper, and with voice and movement
  • Improvisation exercises
  • Having fun!

After the workshops there will be a 3 day development with the 12 chosen cast members. This will take place 27 to 29 August. Rehearsals will then take place one day a week up until the performances on 19 & 20 October at Rothes Hall, Glenrothes. These final performances will run as part of National Theatre of Scotland’s Futureproof festival.
