Party leaders to feature in young people's Climate Hot Seat event!

Young people will have the opportunity to hold political leaders in Scotland to account over climate issues in a live hustings event scheduled for April.

The 'Climate Hot Seat' has been organised by young climate activists from across Scotland and will see party leaders in Scotland quizzed on environmental issues in a live, online event format.

The hustings event, on Friday 9 April, is being hosted in a collaboration between YouthLink Scotland, Children in Scotland, Scottish Youth Parliament, 2050 Climate Group, Teach the Future and Youth Climate Strikers.

In the invitation to party leaders, the group said: “Addressing climate change has never been more important than now. We only have a few years to keep warming below catastrophic levels and if elected to government, this will be something you will have to face during your term in office.”

Young people (aged 11-25) can sign up to attend the hustings event here.

For more information on the hustings event please get in touch with Senior Development Officer, Emily Beever.
