YouthLink Scotland Policy Seminar Series 2018
In the autumn we will host our first Policy Seminar Series. Policy Seminars are opportunities for youth work practitioners, policy makers, academics, and other interested stakeholders to come together. The Seminars are designed in a way which will facilitate networking, collaboration, as well as creating precious time for critical thinking and reflection.
These events will have no more than 70 delegates and will bring leading experts and commentators together to discuss policy issues within a youth work context. The seminars will be framed within the context of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The first policy seminar will take place on Thursday 30 August 2018 in Glasgow and will focus attention towards adverse childhood experiences and the development of resilience within the context of youth work relationships and practice.
The second policy seminar will take place on Thursday 27 September 2018 in Edinburgh and will focus attention towards digital youth work and cyber resilience.
These events are open to all, and we will ask all delegates to provide a short biography and their interest in the seminar topic – this will aid the facilitation on networking and collaboration. Each event will run from 10am until 4pm with lunch provided. The delegate rate is £65 +VAT with a discounted YouthLink Scotland member rate of £55 + VAT. Delegates will be provided with some pre-seminar reading to prepare for discussion, networking and collaboration.
Glasgow, 30 August, this event is now fully booked.
