Research shows COVID challenges for Scottish charities

Scottish charities have made a significant contribution to Scotland’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. From national organisations to local voluntary groups, charities have often led the way in connecting communities and helping those who need the most support as our lives have been turned upside down over the past year.

The results from OSCR's first COVID-19 impact survey in May 2020 set out how the experience of Scotland’s diverse charity sector differed across different groups. When we surveyed Scotland’s charities again in November 2020, their findings were stark.

The full data from this survey has now been released so OSCR can help others understand the challenges charities are currently facing. Charities are concerned about the people they support, the continued disruption of their services, and the income they have lost since the start of this global crisis.
