Rural youth encouraged to have their say about change they want to see

Young people living, working or studying in rural places are being invited to have their say about what they need, want and are lacking in their local communities.

YouthLink Scotland is delighted to be a partner in the The Rural Youth Project (RYP), an initiative designed to research and better understand rural young people, aged 18-28.

RYP combines an online survey, year-long in-depth video logs (vlogs) of 20-25 rural young people and a Rural Youth Ideas Festival in Scotland in July 2018. It will be repeated from 2019-2022.

The countries involved are: Australia, Austria, Canada, England, Scotland, Sweden, Wales and the USA.

Young people are urged to complete the survey and be entered into a prize draw for tickets to two music festivals. www.ruralyouthproject.com (Closes 31 May 2018.)
