Youth Scotland Rural Action Fund
The Youth Scotland Rural Action Fund aims to support and develop community based youth work in Scotland’s rural communities and respond to the challenges which rural youth groups are facing in funding the delivery of community based universal youth work.
Micro grants of between £100 and £750 are awarded to enable youth groups operating in rural communities provide more and/or better youth work opportunities for young people. Applicants must first be ineligible for support through Youth Scotland’s Generation Cashback programme or other Cashback for Communities funding opportunities. Rural volunteer-led youth groups wishing to apply should be working with young people aged 8 to 25 and demonstrate a lack of alternative universal access provision for young people in their community resulting from their rural location. Grants require no match funding but must be spent within 6-9 months of being awarded.
The first deadline for applications is 30 August 2019.
