This grant programme aims to support small charitable organisations with an annual income of between £20,000 and £500,000 that work at grassroots level. It directs funding at the most deprived and disadvantaged areas of the UK, targeting places that are economically marginalised and affected by poverty.
Established organisations should have a track record of delivering services directly to beneficiaries, be embedded within their communities and address local needs.
The programme funds work that enables:
- people from across the community to participate in activities which improve connectedness, opportunities and wellbeing,
- people who are excluded, vulnerable or facing other forms of hardship to have access to community-based services that support positive lasting change, and
- a stronger, active, more engaged community.
Grants range from £20,000 to £60,000 a year. Applications can be submitted anytime and there are no deadline for applications.
