Scottish International Education Trust
The Trust gives financial help to Scots who show ability and promise and wish to take their studies or professional training further with priority given to postgraduate students who do not qualify for public funds or where public funding is insufficient to meet their needs. Grants of up to £2,000 are made to individual students and usually between £1,000 and £3,000 are made to organisations or corporate projects with a charitable purpose. Individual students should have a good first degree (first close honours or close) or an equivalent qualification and be working towards a higher degree. Trustees meet in the Spring and Autumn (normally April and September) to decide on awards. Applications can be submitted at any time ahead of the deadlines for each round shown in the Trust’s website.
