The MSE Charity awards grants aimed at educating and informing people in the areas of financial literacy, consumer or debt issues. The Charity is now launching two funding rounds each year and applications are invited that address the following themes:

  • Living with Long Term Challenges with projects focused on building financial capability skills and assisting groups who support focused on dementia, autism, learning difficulties, disabilities, caring responsibilities, mental illness, brain injury, stroke. Applications should be made between 1 February 2018 and 2 March 2018. This grants round is now full.
  • Building and Developing Resilience¬†with projects focused on building financial capability skills and assisting groups who support mental health, well-being, cook well for less, training others, independent living skills, peer mentoring. Applications should be made between 1 September 2018 and 28 September 2018.
  • Raising the Next Generation with projects focused on building financial capability skills and assisting groups who support Children, Youth and Families. Applications should be made between 1 February and 1 March 2019.
  • Life Changing Transitions with projects focused on building financial capability skills and assisting groups who support bereavement, redundancy, retirement, relationship breakdown, homelessness, offenders and resettlement. Applications should be made between 2 September 2019 and 30 September 2019.

Most grants are below £5,000 and are aimed at small to medium-sized non-profit organisations such as UK registered charities, community interest companies, social enterprises and credit unions. Early applications are advised as each round is limited to the first 40 applications.
