The European Youth Foundation (EYF) was set up in 1972 by the Council of Europe to provide grants for European youth activities. The Fund aims to encourage youth activities that promote understanding, co-operation and peace among young people in Europe.
Financial support is given to non-governmental youth organisations or networks involved in youth work and operating in a signatory state of the European Cultural Convention. The following types of organisations and/or networks are eligible:
- International youth NGOs
- International network of youth NGOs
- Regional network of youth NGOs
- National youth NGOs
- Local youth NGOs
There are two deadlines each year: 1 April for international activities and annual work plans; 1 October for international activities, annual work plans and one-off structural grants. Local youth NGOs, national youth NGOs and regional networks of NGOs can apply for pilot activities throughout the year.
Applications are submitted online.
