The Community & Third Sector Recovery Programme is a £25m Scottish Government funded programme aimed at supporting charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations that are supporting people and communities through the shift from lockdown to recovery.

The Programme has two strands:

The Adapt and Thrive Programme offers both advice and funding to support organisations across the third sector in Scotland to adapt to the challenges presented by Covid and build back better to thrive in the future. The programme will help organisations to make the necessary changes to operate sustainably post-Covid so they can continue to have a positive impact in people and communities. Adapt and Thrive offers tailored, specialist advice, as well as grants and loans. Thanks to additional investment, this programme will run until the end of June 2021.

The Communities Recovery Fund aims to support the delivery of services in communities that were suspended or reduced because of COVID, or the creation of new services that tackle new challenges presented by COVID. The fund will offer grants so organisations can reintroduce the delivery of services and will support the adaptation of existing services or the development of new ones to tackle new community needs resulting from, or existing needs exacerbated by COVID-19. The fund closed on 12 February 2021.

Both strands are now open for applications and will each use an integrated system so that a request can be made to both programmes using a single application form.
