In autumn 2018 YouthLink Scotland will host its first Policy Seminar Series. Policy Seminars are opportunities for youth work practitioners, policy makers, academics, and other interested stakeholders to come together. The Seminars are designed in a way which will facilitate networking, collaboration, as well as creating precious time for critical thinking and reflection.
These events will have no more than 70 delegates and will bring leading experts and commentators together to discuss policy issues within a youth work context. The seminars will be framed within the context of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
This second policy seminar will take place in Edinburgh and will focus attention towards digital youth work and cyber resilience.
Not sure what digital youth work is? Take a look at our recent blog that explains why digital and youth work need to be incorporated to ensure youth work remains relevant.
- Suvi Tuominen, Project Manager, Verke / National Development Centre for Digital Youth Work, City of Helsinki and member of the EC Expert Group on Digitalisation and Youth
- David McNeill, Director of Digital, SCVO
The programme for this policy seminar is available now.
About the Seminar
These events are open to all, and we will ask all delegates to provide a short biography and their interest in the seminar topic – this will aid the facilitation on networking and collaboration. Each event will run from 10am until 4pm with lunch provided, and the delegate rate is £65 +VAT with a discounted YouthLink Scotland member rate of £55 + VAT. Delegates will be provided with some pre-seminar reading to prepare for discussion, networking and collaboration.Book here
