Action Not Words: The Climate Hot Seat

Back to events

Through YouthLink Scotland and Our Bright Future, Young Climate Activists from across Scotland are joining together for The Climate Hot Seat event with politicians, to make sure the climate and nature emergency is still top of their political agenda. A lot has changed since COP26 in Glasgow, and young people are concerned that climate change is not front and centre. This event is an opportunity for politicians to listen to the concerns of young people and explain what their party is doing to ensure the climate emergency is still a top priority.

The event will take place on Zoom on Wednesday 26 October and is open to young people from across Scotland.

Submit your climate related question to Scotland’s politicians:

Prior to this event we are calling all young people to submit climate related questions to Scotland’s politicians for The Climate Hot Seat. This could include questions related to what their plans and priorities are, or the steps they are going to take to make changes and improvements.

All questions submitted will be reviewed by the organising group of young people before the event. Young people who have a question chosen will be contacted in advance.

If young people are under 16, they will need parental/carer permission to have their question answered at the event.

Young people can submit their climate change questions through this form.

The deadline to submit questions is 9am on 19 September 2022.
