Youth Work & Schools Collaborative: “Scottish Attainment Challenge - what’s it got to do with me?”

Back to events

Join the Youth Work and Schools Collaborative for a discussion about the role of youth work within the Scottish Attainment Challenge.

We’re delighted to co-facilitate this discussion session with Lorna Harvey, Attainment Advisor, Education Scotland. Lorna will provide an overview of the refreshed Scottish Attainment Challenge (SAC) and the opportunities for strengthened collaboration between youth work and schools.

Marielle Bruce, Youth Work & Schools Manager at YouthLink Scotland, will provide an update on work being delivered through their SAC national programme and share some of the resources available to support practitioners.

There will be opportunity for discussion, practice sharing and to identify what further support youth work practitioners need to continue to improve outcomes for young people affected by poverty.

The Scottish Attainment Challenge Youth Work & Schools Collaborative is a network for youth work and other education practitioners to share practice, develop practical resources and engage in professional learning conversations around closing the poverty related attainment gap. We aim to work together to drive culture and systemic change across education, to improve outcomes for children and young people affected by poverty.
