In May 2021, with funding from the Young Start programme, Children in Scotland created a new peer research project to gain greater understanding of participation and engagement with children and young people through the pandemic. Within it, a group of four young researchers aged 14-18 years worked together to examine how engaging online rather than face-to-face changed the way children and young people share their views.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the four peer researchers about their involvement in the project. You will also hear about the findings of their research. The group will share the learning from the six case studies they produced as part of the project. They will share their views on how the pandemic affected the way children and young people want to engage with organisations and what we can learn from this. The researchers will also identify what they think has worked well and how we can develop future project and service delivery.
