Members Network: Youth work’s role in summer programmes

Back to events

We are delighted to open bookings for our second Members Network of 2021 to explore the role of youth work in summer programmes.

We know that youth work has a crucial role to play in summer programmes through supporting transitions, providing opportunities to socialise, have fun, develop group work skills, build confidence, improve health and wellbeing and so much more.

At this meeting you will have an opportunity to hear from Scouts Scotland and Getting Better Together Ltd who are adapting their summer programmes to be in line with COVID-19 restrictions. They will be explaining how they are making adaptions to provide the best possible outcomes for young people. There will be plenty of time to share your plans, experience, learning and questions during breakout discussions.

This Members Network meeting will take place from 11am to 12.30pm on Thursday 17 June using Zoom. For anyone unable to use Zoom, we will record the presentations which we will share after the meeting.

We do hope that your organisation can join us.

Please note this event is only open to YouthLink Scotland members. However, we are not restricting numbers to one per organisation this time, to allow as many youth workers to attend as would like to.
