Supporting young people to influence a blue/green recovery

Back to events

In the first of YouthLink Scotland’s policy seminar series on Climate Action, join On Our Wavelength and Marine Conservation Society to take a deep dive on World Ocean’s Day into the possibilities of what a green/blue recovery might look like post Covid-19 and the role young people can play.

During the last year YouthLink Scotland, with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, have been supporting five youth groups across Scotland to examine the environmental impact on coastal communities, with support from the Marine Conservation Society.

This seminar will provide an opportunity to hear more about how young people are being engaged through research to share their voice on climate action. We will also consider what a blue/green recovery might look like after Covid-19 and the role young people can play in influencing policy makers. This is an opportunity for attendees to share their views on what legislation they would like to see and how youth work and environmental organisations can work together.
