Calling youth workers and young people! We will be running an engagement event at Edinburgh Zoo this summer to help give young people (aged 12 to 18) and the youth work sector a voice in the consultation on the incorporation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) into Scots law.

We are offering two young people and one youth worker from youth work organisations the opportunity to take part in this free engagement session led by Youthlink Scotland on Thursday the 18th of July. This will include half day passes for the zoo, buffet lunch, teas and coffees, free parking, free entry to the zoo, and panda viewing (subject to availability).

We ask that attendees arrive for 12 noon, with the event kicking off at 1pm. When the engagement session is complete, young people and youth workers will be able to explore the zoo in their own time.

A travel subsidy has also been allocated at £10.00 per young person.

We are inviting participants on a first come, first served basis, as the numbers are limited to 50 people. So, please be quick! This is a great opportunity to actively participate in a Government consultation and also a chance to explore the zoo for free during a busy summer period.
