Cyber Scotland Week Special: Supporting children and young people online

Our February Digital Youth Work MeetUp has joined forces with Cyber Scotland Week to offer a special session with Annabel Turner of CyberSafe Scotland.

The session will look at how the needs of children and young people have changed online since the pandemic and how we can respond to those needs

We will look at how online behaviours changed during the first and second lockdown and what this means for digital youth work.

Annabel  Turner leads Cybersafe Scotland, an online safety support organisation started in Aberdeen in 2017. She is a children's rights lawyer by background, specialising in online harms and online exploitation. She now works on the codesign of resources and support to help young people online. She is an expert in online harms and online exploitation and in her spare time helps as an advisor to the International Justice Mission (advising on Cybersex Trafficking internationally and in Scotland). She is the Chair of the Online Safety, Child Sexual Exploitation and Child Trafficking Sub Committee of the Child Protection Committee.

About the Digital Youth Work MeetUp
