Members Network - The power of language and framing in youth work

Back to events

We are delighted to open bookings for our final Members Network of 2021 to consider the role of language and framing in youth work.

At this meeting, you will hear from Falkirk Council Champions Board, about how they are working with care experienced young people to challenge and reframe the language used by professionals. We will also be joined by Youth Borders who will share their experience of using the National Youth Work Outcomes Framework in the Stepping Stones Project including how they overcame the challenges of using a shared outcomes framework. We will also explore how the Youth Work Skills Framework provides a common language to communicate, collaborate and work with young people.

This Members Network meeting will take place from 11-12.30pm using Zoom. For anyone unable to use Zoom, we will record the presentations which we will share after the meeting.

We do hope that your organisation can join us.

Please note this event is only open to YouthLink Scotland members. However, we are not restricting numbers to one per organisation this time, to allow as many youth workers to attend as would like to.
