Managing your digital footprint

Back to events

An online workshop exploring how to manage your online reputation as a youth worker and how you can support young people to think about their digital footprint.

At this workshop we’ll run through key steps in managing your professional reputation online. We’ll also look at how we can best support young people, including vulnerable groups, to manage their digital footprint.

This workshop is one of a series where we explore different types of digital youth work.

Young people’s lives are increasingly digitalised in so many ways and youth workers have a role in helping young people navigate the digital aspects of their lives, but this isn’t something we are all automatically confident in.

New technology also gives us lots of opportunities to enhance our youth work practice, to engage young people and their creativity and amplify their voices in different ways.

Managing Your Digital Footprint will be led by Jess McBeath of Jess Digital. Jess is an online safety consultant who has trained thousands of people across Scotland and the UK to keep children, vulnerable adults and themselves safe online. This includes teachers, social workers, safeguarders, foster carers, police, charities, youth workers and more.

This workshop is offered in place of our monthly Digital Youth Work MeetUp.
