Theme: Youth Work in a Caring Space
The focus of December’s Members Network is Youth Work in a Caring Space. Members will have an opportunity to hear from Mo Ford from The Junction discussing a holistic approach towards young people’s health and wellbeing. Megan Binns from 6VT Cairn Project will share their approach to providing a specialised confidential support service for young people aged 12-18 years who have been a victim of crime.
Michael Salkow from NHS Health Scotland will be talking about their work to support the wider public workforce to access health data. After the presentations, there will then be an opportunity to take part in an interactive session with Sean Humphreys from YouthLink Scotland, focused on supporting young people with their health and wellbeing.
Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. A reminder that lunch will not be provided. See agenda for further information.
We also have a Member’s Space. This is an opportunity for member’s to give a 5 minute update on areas of their work, make any announcements or share good practice. This will be a 15 minute slot and will be available to the first 3 members who get in touch. Please let Amy know if you would like a slot at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note this event is only open to YouthLink Scotland members. Each YouthLink Scotland member has two free places at this event. Additional member places can be purchased for £25 per delegate with a special rate for Youth Work Modern Apprentices/Volunteers (£15). Please contact Amy Calder for further information.
