Increasingly, children and young people are losing sleep for a variety of reasons. This training will help practitioners working with children and young people to better understand how and why we sleep and what happens when we don’t get enough sleep. This training will also explore how developing good sleep hygiene can improve sleep quality and quantity.

Key learning:

  • The psychology and physiology of sleep.
  • What happens when sleep goes wrong and common sleep disorders.
  • Good sleep hygiene - the common sleep behaviours that can help children and young people get a better night’s sleep.
